Fashion should be fun and colorful and if your outfit doesn't make you smile every time you see your reflection somewhere, then you're doing something wrong! When I first saw this skirt at Zara I fell in love: the color was one my favorites, the playful ruffles were so fun and the asymmetrical hem made it all the way more interesting. I have gotten so many compliments for it and so many random people stopped me in the streets to ask me where I got it. We rarely venture out of our comfort zone, in life like in fashion, but when we do the results are magical. So that's my way of saying to you to be daring this summer and don't be afraid to try new things, from a hot pink skirt to skydiving or swimming with sharks (yes those things really are on my bucket list :D ). How about you? What's on your bucket list for this summer?
Summer weekends have to be my favorite time of the year. Unfortunately NYC weather is trying really hard not to let us enjoy the beautiful weather as it seems like the sun only shines during the week and leaves its place to clouds and thunderstorms on the weekends. Anybody else in this case or is it just here?
So what happens when you optimistically plan a photoshoot in Soho on a Saturday morning, thinking you'll be fine and it ends up pouring? You end up in the Oculus at the World Trade Center, which by the way is probably the most expensive train station in the world with a $3.9B construction cost. The station slash shopping center with its beautiful natural light and stunning white Italian marble stairs turned out to be the perfect hideaway during the storm says not only me but also the tons of tourists that ended up there to escape the rain.
Surprisingly my outfit turned out to be weather appropriate after all. I have to admit I love this strange and unpredictable weather because it gives me the opportunity to wear mid-season pieces like this beautiful flowy old pink trench coat. I'm all about whites and soft pastels!
This very pink post concludes my New York adventures. On this last day in the city my babe Yana and I met up with the lovely Katya from Flora Theory and we had an amazing lunch at Bluestone Lane in the West Village. Then we proceeded to snap some pictures with this gorgeous flower box by Flora Theory! The weather was absolutely perfect but the company was even better! So sad to be leaving this amazing city once again!
I've walked by this building hundreds of times and took pictures of it almost every time. I always thought it was a beautiful church since it even has a beautifully taken care of garden with gorgeous blooms and many very picturesque tables and benches and of course a fountain. That was until I actually stopped by and inquired. You'll never guess what this is: it's one of the numerous branches of the New York Public Library! Isn't this amazing? It made me appreciate this stunning building even more. No matter how well I think I know you, New York, you'll never stop surprising me!

In honor of Mother's Day, my brother and I took my mom out for a walk, a little window shopping and an ice cream date yesterday. The weather was absolutely perfect, the sun was shining yet it wasn't too hot nor humid. When we walked by this cute little bench in front of this pink flower explosion we couldn't help ourselves and decided to stop and take some mother daughter pictures :D I am so glad I got to spend some quality time with her and show her how thankful I am to have her!
So of course I also wanted to dedicate this post to her, the woman who taught me everything I know and that has been there for me through thin and thick. She is my biggest inspiration and my best friend and she deserves all the happiness in the world! I hope one day I'll be as awesome a mom as she is to me!

Just look at how happy she is with her ice cream! haha while I'm just trying to take a decent picture of the ice cream before it melt completely!
Strawberry, passion fruit and yogurt ice cream, my absolute favorite flavors!
Wishing all the beautiful mothers out there a happy Mother's Day! You are our real heroes!
With fall in full swing I can't help myself but going to as many parks as I can and wander around, amazed by how everything is changing! This spot in Central Park has to be one of my favorites for beautiful pictures all year round: in the spring and summer it's blooming with a myriad of colorful flowers, in the fall it has all these gorgeous warm tones and in the winter the bridge covered in snow is the prettiest thing you'll ever see!
That's why as soon as I received this stunning floral dress from the new Shabby Apple fall collection I knew I had to immerse myself in nature to fully capture its beauty. Florals are the print your fall wardrobe needs: seriously, from dark and romantic to bright and warm you cannot go wrong with floral prints this season!
I really love how this particular dress is cut: the knee-length makes it very ladylike and more fall appropriate and the fitted top portion of the dress perfectly balances out the skirt's shape.

The scenery in Central Park was absolutely breathtaking!
A few pictures from a look I wore in NYC before leaving for my road trip, accompanied by this lovely quote from Christian Dior. This has always been one of my favorite quotes because of accurate I think it is.
It was a very pleasant morning in Bryant Park and I finally decided to wear this gorgeous midi skirt for the first time. When I got it online a couple of months ago, I fell in love with the print and color and I'm always one to wear a gorgeous statement piece but it was nothing like all the other clothes I own. I hadn't tried midi skirts yet but every time I saw a blogger wear one I thought they looked fantastic! I decided to pair mine with a peach blouse and some mary janes!
I loved how it looked and I'm already thinking about how to style it next! Maybe I'll try wearing it with a tighter neutral top and a very pink statement necklace to make the flowers on the skirt pop even more!
Top: BCBG - Skirt: Shein - Bag: Balenciaga - Shoes: Stuart Weitzman

This quote by Oscar Wilde has always been very close to my heart. I always was the nerd of my class, studying all the day long and acing all my tests and I am firmly convinced that getting an education is the most important thing anyone could do. But I also love overdressing, even if it's just to go out with friends, being all fancy makes me happy!
Today was another sunny summer morning in NYC wearing a not so average outfit in an outstanding location. The New York Public Library has always been one of my favorite places in the city: from the imposing columns at the entrance guarded by indestructible lions to the silence of its halls and the coldness of the marble. Everything made me feel like I got back in time and ended up in another era!
This gorgeous Shabby Apple opal blue dress is the most perfect dress if you're looking to dress up for an outdoors event like a wedding or a fancy tea party this summer! The lightweight material feels very fresh and cool on the skin and the fit and flare silhouette makes it very airy and flattering for every body type. I decided to pair this beautiful dress with pointy mary jane heels and over-the-top statement jewelry to make it even more elegant and sophisticated.

Wishing you all a great end of the week! Thank you so much for reading!
Red isn't only the title of a hilarious movie starring Bruce Willis (oh how I love that movie! Tell me I'm not the only one!?), it's also one of the strongest and most vibrant colors out there and not one I normally wear, except on the lips.
But when I saw this gorgeous Ted Baker lace dress online last Christmas, I knew I had to have it!
After months of perseverance I finally found it on sale the other day!
I initially was planning to wait until my birthday (coming up next week!) to wear it but the wait was harder than I anticipated. I caved and went to the Brooklyn Bridge to shoot these pictures.

It's not very often that you can attend a lunch with a celebrity and it's even less common to be able to get life and career advice directly from them. Leave it to Business Chicks to make your dreams come true! This very pink and girly Australian company strives to bring like-minded souls together – to give them a chance to swap ideas, share stories, and spark inspiration.
I feel so proud and lucky to have had the chance to participate in their American launch and have met their team as well as their outstanding members!
Without further due let me take you with me inside this fabulous and inspiring event!

Rachel Zoe isn't just a celebrity stylist. She is the author of two books, a jewelry and clothing designer, reality show star and an entrepreneur in her own right.
The dining room doors finally open and we discovered a ballroom filled with beautifully set tables.
The gorgeous set up for the interview.
So many goodies on the table!
And in the goodies bag of course!
Who run the world? GIRLS!
Lunch is served! And it was delicious!
And after the dessert, the best part of the event, Rachel Zoe's arrival!
She was wearing a tuxedo and a blouse from her own line.
During the interview she shared with us her fears of taking the leap at 23 and going freelance, some of her hilarious styling mistake that she thought were going to cost her her career but just made her stronger and her endless motivation to achieve everything she wants in life.
