I mean business

Hello loves and HAPPY MONDAY! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are feeling ready and energized to conquer this new week! How are those new year's resolutions coming along?

On my end this year has already exceeded my expectations as I was invited to walk the red carpet at a movie premiere this past week! Never in a million years I could have imagined that one day I would have walked a red carpet. I am very thankful for all the amazing opportunities I get but let me tell you a secret: it's all about hard work.
I always get so many dms from people asking me how I afford those designer bags or how I managed to get a big Instagram following and my answer is always the same: HARD WORK!

For some reason I feel like people don't usually like that answer. Believe me, I would have loved to give you the recipe for instant success, but unfortunately there is no such thing! To be a #BossBabe you have to be relentless and passionate! Reading books like "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fck" by Mark Manson (HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!) and wearing power suits, Loubs and Céline sunglasses makes me feel invincible.

I have to adhere to a strict business dress code everyday at work and this Ameliora suit is the most comfortable yet flattering suit I have ever owned! The company is run by boss babes, they manufacture in NYC and import all of their fabrics from Italy. I cannot get over how luxurious the red silk lining of this jacket is. A true statement suit and a perfect match to my Louboutins!

2018: goals, wishlist and more

There is nothing more exciting than a new start, a clean slate where you can draw and write anything you want. We are so incredibly lucky to get one every 365 days and I think more people should take the time to actually reflect on this. We all need direction in our life and because of how busy hectic most of our days are, we can lose track of where we're going and on the long run this can only bring us down and make us feel unhappy with our lives.
My advice to you is to sit down in front of a sheet of paper (or surrounded by all the things that you got last year and that you've worked so hard for, like I did here) and think of all the things that make you happy. Write them down and do your best to tick everything off that list this year. I can be anything, from spending more time with your friends and family, to getting a new bag or pair of shoes, to getting a new puppy (and if you can't get an actual dog just volunteer at your local shelter! They're always looking for people to walk dogs. You'll be making a lil pup's day and he'll be making yours :) ).

IMG_5043.JPG

This year is the first time my wishlist has barely any material things in it: I used to lust over so many trendy bags and amazing shoes but when I think about it, those things, while still absolutely beautiful, don't add a lot to my everyday life. Instead, what makes me smile is going to brunch with my girlfriends (especially Yana from @MissYanaCherie), taking pictures for you guys, reading books and travelling. So I joined a book club (and you should join us too!), I already booked 4 trips for this year (and will probably book a few more tbh) and I'm trying to put together some cool and fun content for all of you guys!

What I got for Christmas 2017

Hello loves and HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I hope everyone is having the BEST start of the year! I know it's long overdue but here I am, FINALLY sharing what I got from Christmas this year :)

IMG_5021.JPG

To be honest I really didn't ask for anything, I took it easy and enjoyed the time with my family in the city. My Christmas gift to them was tickets for The Christmas Spectacular, at the Radio City Musical Hall, featuring the iconic Rockettes! Nonetheless I did receive some amazing goodies and here they are:

1. The Louis Vuitton Logomania scarf in grey

I feel like every single blogger got one this year! But it's seriously so beautiful and warm, I was so so happy when I opened it!

IMG_5066.JPG

2. Two Fendirumi bag charms

I didn't own any Fendi bag charms and for a fashion obsessed like me it was almost something to be ashamed of! (just kidding!) These little monsters will make all of my bags so much more fashionable.

IMG_5049.JPG

3. Chloé and Chloé Love Story Gift Sets

I'm such a Chloé girl when it comes to perfumes! Their floral and light scents are perfect for any month of the year! These gift sets came with miniature/travel size bottles and well as scented body lotions! I guess someone will be smelling very good this year :D

IMG_5052.JPG

4. Chanel Pearl Earrings

Chanel earrings are probably one of my biggest obsessions. I just think they're so beautiful and classical that they'll never go out of style. I wear earrings everyday (I feel so naked without them!) and it's usually Chanel ones. So happy when I opened the little black box and found these pearly beauties inside! Plus they match my brooch so well.

IMG_5064.JPG

5. Tons of beauty goodies!

I feel like you can never go wrong when gifting beauty products to any woman in your life :) The Lancome L'absolu Rouge Lip Glosses are so rich and creamy, I'm in love with their formula! And for whenever I feel like having a spa night in the Pure Sugar Scrub by L'Oréal followed by the MZ Skin Hydra-lift Golden Facial mask make my skin feel like new in just a few minutes!

IMG_5053.JPG

6. Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate!

I must say my friend and family know me well! I think I have enough chocolate to last me until Christmas 2018.. Hum.. nope, just kidding, it's almost all gone already!

IMG_5047.JPG

7. Tsarevna Christmas Tea by Kusmi Tea Paris

Another gift that was the most welcome was Kusmi Tea's Christmas blend in a beautiful limited edition gold jar. The zesty aroma of orange on a black tea base, with touches of vanilla and almond is the most perfect way to start any wintery day!

Pumpkin Spice

I'm a summer baby and always will be so I get extremely sad whenever Labor Day hits. I'm never ready to say goodbye to the long and sunny summer days and to all the cute summer outfits (am I the only one obsessed with white lace on beautifully tan skin?). This year however the transition seems to be very soft as everyone is still sporting short sleeves and no jacket in October. Add to that the fact that the whole city is decorated for fall with cute little pumpkins, orange and red flowers and that the fall lattes are now available at Starbucks (in addition to the PSL do yourself a favor and try the maple pecan latte too!) and you might even be able to call me a happy camper.

You only live once, but if you do it right once is enough

I am a firm believer in celebrating: I celebrate accomplishments (no matter how big or small), I celebrate my friends' achievements, I celebrate special dates, I celebrate life. Because really, it's all about the small things, those little everyday miracles that make life worth living. :)
So this year for my birthday party I went all out and organized the party of my dreams: it was all pink and gold and beautiful! It turned out to be the most perfect day ever, from start to finish. Everyone in my life did their part to make me feel so special and loved: from my coworkers, to my friends and even you guys! I just wanted to thank everyone once again for all the love and support. Now here's a few shots from my "Sweet Twenty-Six"!

My birthday outfit - Dress: INA - Bag: Valentino

I went for an all pink setting, with touches of gold here and there. Even the food was on theme: pink donuts, pink sugar cookies, pink cotton candy, pink Pocky and pink cupcakes that spelled out "HAPPY BDAY SARAH".

But my favorite part were the pink drinks! If you've never tried Belvoir's Elderflower and Rose Sparkling Lemonade if are missing out big time! I first tried it during a styling studio session last September during NYFW and it instantly became my new favorite drink. Plus the packaging in so cute, how can one resist?

Details from the party. My beautiful friend Katya from Flora Theory showed up with the most beautiful flower box I've ever seen. Seriously obsessed!

And here are my birthday gifts! Gucci Marmont belt, Valentino Rockstud sandals, Saint Laurent Sac du Jour tote and Hermes Kelly Double Tour bracelet! Spoiled is an understatement, I know.

The old New York

New York is a lot like life: always so full of surprises. You might it think have it all figured out and then you walk a little past your comfort zone and find yourself in completely new territory. There is nothing better than knowing that the possibilities are endless and whatever you can think of you can achieve. Strolling in the gardens at Tudor city this past weekend felt like I was travelling back in time. The complex, built in 1927, was the first residential skyscraper complex in the world! Can you imagine how it felt living there back in the 30s?

I don't think I will ever get tired of wearing pink

I love how effortlessly and harmonically extremes coexists in the city. Skyscrapers are built next to historical monuments and low rise buildings making the contrast between them striking and fascinating. One minute you can be in the busy streets of Times Square bustling with tourists and street artists and the other you find yourself in the peace and quiet of Bryant Park surrounded by flowers and families spending quality time together. Either you love it or you hate it, there is no in between. And one thing is sure, just like wearing pink, I will never get tired of New York City.

A Rainy Summer Day

Summer weekends have to be my favorite time of the year. Unfortunately NYC weather is trying really hard not to let us enjoy the beautiful weather as it seems like the sun only shines during the week and leaves its place to clouds and thunderstorms on the weekends. Anybody else in this case or is it just here?
So what happens when you optimistically plan a photoshoot in Soho on a Saturday morning, thinking you'll be fine and it ends up pouring? You end up in the Oculus at the World Trade Center, which by the way is probably the most expensive train station in the world with a $3.9B construction cost. The station slash shopping center with its beautiful natural light and stunning white Italian marble stairs turned out to be the perfect hideaway during the storm says not only me but also the tons of tourists that ended up there to escape the rain.

Surprisingly my outfit turned out to be weather appropriate after all. I have to admit I love this strange and unpredictable weather because it gives me the opportunity to wear mid-season pieces like this beautiful flowy old pink trench coat. I'm all about whites and soft pastels!

A Magical Day: VC Polo Classic

When I think of my ideal day there are a few things I always picture: beautiful weather is a must, a breathtaking location, amazingly fashionable people around and of course good friends to share all of this with. Veuve Clicquot made all my dreams come true last Saturday at their annual VC Polo Classic Event. It was an afternoon filled with sun, champagne and laughter that I spent, surrounded by people with an incredible sense of style, at the Liberty State Park which has stunning views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty. The polo match was the first one I ever attended and I have to admit it was pretty exciting and very entertaining. As if all of that wasn't enough, to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of this event, Alicia Keys took the stage and sang a few songs for us. Listening to everyone sing along to Empire State of Mind while overlooking the beautiful skyline and Statue of Liberty was one of the best experiences ever!

Summer in New York

For my first post from New York I wanted to give you guys a perfect overview of what my days looks like here. The Big Apple is unlike any other city I've ever been to and that's exactly why I love it so much. There's always something to do, see and discover. I usually spend my weekends checking out new cute restaurants or dessert places, shopping at my favorite stores and hanging out and pic-nicking at my favorite parks.

For my outfits I like to keep it practical (no heels for busy city days that's for sure!) but still cute and super girly. I love the off the shoulders trend and I am a sucker for cute summer dresses and two piece outfits because they make it so easy to get ready in the morning and you always look so put together. I love shopping online fir different, unique pieces and TOBI is definitely one of my favorite websites do to that.

I especially love shopping around in Soho where all the best stores are and stopping by a few trusted thrift stores like Buffalo Exchange. If you follow me on my Instastory you might have noticed already ;)

I also especially love strolling in Central Park and Washington Square park while snacking on macarons or yummy chocolate chip cookies from Levain bakery. Cherry blossoms season made the city look so pretty!

Spring Pinks in Paris

As I'm sure you've all noticed by now, pink is one of my favorite colors and when spring comes around I cannot help but wearing soft pastels and fresh whites. The other day I was strolling on avenue Montaigne and the Champs Elysées and decided to pop into Zara for a second to see the new arrivals. I saw this bubblegum pink ruffle top with bows on the sleeves and immediately knew it was meant to be shot in the colorful Rue Crémieux, where all the houses are painted different pastel shades. The street really looks like a giant box of macarons and was filled with people taking pictures. Of course I chose the pinkest of them all.

Postcards from Paris

There aren't many cities in the world that take your breath away as often as Paris does.
It almost feels like time has stopped there: every little street is magical and every street corner seems to have in store wonderful surprises for the ones who are willing to look for them. Nothing can beat letting your sight wander out of the window of your car, while stuck in traffic, and seeing the iron lady stand tall and fierce in front of you. So here's an ode to the city of lights, may you always remain beautiful, strong and timeless.

Bonjour Paris!

Paris welcomed me with beautiful weather and warm temperatures. What else could I possibly ask for? On my first day in the French capital I woke up super early and headed out to rue Saint Honoré to walk around the shops and do some shopping. Because all the shops had just opened the atmosphere was super quiet and relaxing. I had tea at Chanel rue Cambon and tried on some jewelry, then went to to Ladurée to get yummy macarons and ended up on the Alexander III bridge to shoot these pictures. Couldn't have hoped for a warmer welcome from this amazing city!

Day trip to Amsterdam

Hello there loves! I am coming to you from the Netherlands where I am spending 5 days visiting friends, exploring and discovering the country. This is my first time here but thanks to my awesome guides I am experiencing all the best Holland has to offer! On Saturday we had an amazing day in Amsterdam. This is what I advise you to do if you're ever here to make the most out of your trip:

Dam Square: the most famous square of the city was our first stop. Among all the wandering tourists and jostling locals you'll be able to see the royal palace, the historical church where all the royals' ceremonies still take place and the World War II national monument. Of course you'll also find amazing shopping like De Bijenkorf (the beehive), a 5-floor department store that carries all the most prestigious brands, as well as brands like Zara, Mango, Urban Outfitters, NYX and Forever 21 in the pedestrian street Kalvestraat.

Koninklijk Paleis Amsterdam - the Royal Palace

The crooked houses: everywhere in the city you'll notice how so many of the buildings are leaning and look like they're going to collapse at any given time. Because these houses are so old and Amsterdam is a city built on water the foundations of these buildings, built with wood, have shifted quite a lot. Nowadays they filled everything with ciment so there's no actual danger but it still looks very impressive!

Blouse: Shein - Pants: Shein - Bag: Valentino - Shoes and Earrings: Chanel - Sunglasses: Céline

The kennels and the red light district: the kennels, constantly lines with parked bikes, make for the perfect photo backdrop. You can take a boat tour and go around the city or just walk the streets and wander among all the "coffee shops" and end up in the red light district, where women in sexy attire call out passing men to from behind the club's windows. A very particular and unique experience may I say.

Amsterdam Central Station, first opened in 1889

Art Square and I "am" Amsterdam sign: You'll find this always super busy with tourists taking pictures in front of the iconic sign and locals biking with their families checking out the latest art exhibitions. The square is huge and super duper pretty and makes for a perfect photoshoot spot!

February Favorites

Hello everyone! Long time no see. Life has been crazy these past few months, a lot of things changed in my life and it took me some time to adjust and get back to a normal schedule. I hope everyone is off to a great start for 2017! As usual time flies by and, let's be real, shopping is my favorite hobby so I do have many new items that quickly became my faves. So happy to finally be sharing these with you today.

FASHION

February was the month of romance and love which put me in a pink state of mind. Everytime I went shopping I came back home with pink items, every morning getting dressed I would reach for pink clothing, my nail colors, my perfume, I was obsessed I'm telling you guys. So naturally I've worn this beautiful lace top way too many times but I couldn't care less because I love it and it looks amazing on! This has to be a new all time favorite piece of mine.

BEAUTY

I had been wanting to up my skincare game for so long and the new year seemed like the perfect occasion to do so. I invested in a few key products that were recommended to me by some friends that swear they couldn't live without them. Now my morning routine is my favorite part of the day because of how amazing these creams smell but most importantly how well they work! My skin has been so glowy, nourished and hydrated, it's just incredible. I know I'll be raving about these products for a very long time, and even if they are quite expensive, they're totally worth the investment!

Hydra Beauty Serum - Hydra Beauty Micro Gel Yeux - Hydra Beauty Gel Cream

MAKEUP

I am such a lipstick junkie I cannot go a single day without wearing some color on my lips. I also love to change shades super often as well as finishes. I have been wearing mattes for the most part and these MAC lippies were my faves.

ACCESSORIES

I was not joking when I said I lived a very pink month. my Roses by Chloe perfume, my pink and gold Dior split sunglasses and my new Miu Miu mini wallet were my most used accessories this month. Also can we talk about that pink chocolate tablet from Laduree? It's rose flavored white chocolate. Best Valentine's Day chocolate ever. Seriously.

Perfume: Roses by Chloe - Sunglasses: Dior - Ring: YSL Arty - Chocolate and Candle: Laduree

NEWIN

It's a bag. It's pastel pink (no surprise here). And I'm seriously IN LOVE! I found this beauty in Paris and believe it or not it was ON SALE! I have been saving up to buy this bag in this color for full price and when I saw it on sale I snagged it as fast as humanely possible. The smooth leather and structured shape makes it elegant and chic but the shiny rockstuds add a bit of edginess to it. It's just absolutely perfect in my opinion and I'm so happy to welcome it in my handbag family!

Bag: Valentino - Sunglasses: Dior So Real

RANDOM

Last but not least my favorite new random addition to my room this month was the beautiful Rong Rong Devoe calendar. Each month has a beautiful original fashion illustration designed by Rong Rong herself and I find that it just adds so much glam to my office area!

Handbag collection

Today is #NationalHandbagDay and what better to to celebrate this fun day than to bring all of my babies out for a family picture?? :D I have loved and cherished every single one of them from the moment I bought them and have used all of them so much! I am ashamed to admit that there are still a ton of bags on my wishlist but I am so very grateful for everything I have! Not that I haven't worked my ass off to be able to afford every single one, because I really have.

So to us, handbags lovers out there, may our collections keep on growing! :D

(Of course I realized only after taking these that my Drew and a Chanel bag were missing but all of the others are here i promise!)

NYFW Day 2

The craziness never stops, especially in New York and ESPECIALLY during fashion week! After a quick breakfast at Starbucks my second day of NYFW started with the KYBOE! US launch and show. For the occasion I was wearing one of their amazing watches and I got to meet Shea from Peace and Love Shea and Carolina Vreeland there. After the show my babe Yana and I stopped by Trattoria Bianca for a quick lunch (the pizzas there were so amazing!)

My outfit for the day was edgier than usual with lots of black but I added a white lace top to keep it more feminine. I love how my Chanel bag always goes with absolutely everything! That's the thing with timeless pieces, they really are expensive, but totally worth the investment!

Top: Zara - Shorts: Shein - Boots: Moden Vice - Bag: Chanel - Bracelet: Hermès

We spent the afternoon shopping and walking around in the city and decided to get some delicious froyo for dessert at 16 handles: I got the peanut butter froyo with cookie dough and mini Reese's peanut butter cups on top. Let me just say it was heaven in a cup!

NYFW Day 1

Every year attending fashion week becomes more and more fun! I am so thankful to be able to travel to this amazing city and attend all these fun shows and events and being able to share all of this with you guys makes it all a hundred times better!
My first day in New York turned out to be pretty full: a nail and makeup appointment in the morning at Caravan styling studio to get me ready for the Control Sector fashion show in the afternoon and the Lulu's Style Studio Party at night. I also had the time to have a yummy lunch with my babe Yana and of course take tons of #foodporn pics.

For my first NYFW day I chose a simple yet elegant and trendy look: all black and white with lace and Chanel.

Romper: Shein - Shoes: Valentino - Bracelet: Hermès Collier de chien

Thank you Caravan for making me pretty and spoiling me with a bag full of fun goodies!

Lunch at The Growler was INSANE!

After lunch I went straight to the Style Fashion Week fashion show where I attended the Control Sector fashion show (as I'm sure you've seen on my InstaStory!).

Lastly, I ended this first day on the best way possible: attending the Lulu's Style Studio influencers party. Between good music, fashion sketches, fun goodies, an open bar and cool giveaways I had such an amazing night and met some fantastic fellow bloggers!

St Barth Travel Diary

Last month as my birthday gift I went on a 5 days getaway to Saint Barth, one of my favorite island in the Caribbeans. Among white sand beaches, crystal clear waters, luxury shopping, fine dining and breathtaking views I had a truly amazing time and here I am, finally sharing everything with you!

We stayed at Le Village, a cute little hotel in Saint Jean, just a few steps away from the Nikki Beach, one of my favorite places to spend a day under the sun with good music playing on the background and great food and drinks.

We rented a convertible mini Cooper and had the best time driving around with the top down! The island is so small you can never get lost and driving around is really easy. However walking is not an option as there are many hills and the day it's way too hot to enjoy walking anywhere.

The pool area of the hotel was so charming, and the view was unbeatable!

One of my favorite things about this hotel is the bookshelves filled with books int he reception area and breakfast lounge: you can borrow them during your stay and even take them home with you if you're not finished reading them! There are books in English, French, German, Spanish and tons of other languages and you'll find all kinds of books from novels to poetry to manuals. Also the breakfast buffet was a delight. It changed every morning and had many different kinds of juice, pastries, fruits, etc. Our room at the hotel was very clean and modern. A lot of closet space was available and I of course took advantage of it right away!

There are so many wonderful beaches on the island that it's hard to pick one in the morning, when planning the day! We already knew some of them so we decided to go ahead and discover new ones: the first day we went to the Grand Cul de Sac beach. We had the beach basically to ourselves and had a picnic there with some food we bought at the grocer on our way there. It was so peaceful and

After a long day of sun, sea and tanning (exhausting I know!) our favorite thing to do was to go to Gustavia where the harbor is and walk by the water and pick a different restaurant to enjoy every night.

Mango and strawberry frozen smoothies by the water, so good and refreshing!

In Gustavia you can also find the best luxury shops like Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Cartir, Bulgari and many other local store that sell designer sunglasses and brand name watches. The island is a tax free haven so get ready to score some great deals! I didn't think twice when I saw the bracelet I wanted for so long at the Hermès boutique. Happy birthday to me!

And here's the reveal of the content of that little orange bag of happiness :D

The island is so small and picturesque, around every corner you might find amazing views and stunning scenery. On our second day we were headed to Anse des Flamands, an endless white sand beach with crystal clear water, and on our way there we stumbled upon this spot. So insanely perfect for pictures.

This is the view you have when you arrive at Anse des Flamands. Basically happiness in a picture.

OMG please take me back!!

After the beach we were all starving so we headed back to Gustavia to go have a yummy lunch at L'Isoletta, our favorite Italian restaurant. I got the Grapefruit and Orange salad and a slice of pizza on the terrace. Seriously, #lunchgoals.

On the following day, we ventured to Anse de Colombier, a secluded beach you can only reach by boat or by a 15/20 minutes hike. This beach is famous for being the private beach of American businessman Rockerfeller, who at his time bought a huge mansion overlooking the bay. The hike isn't that bad and on the way down we found some great picture spots, totally postcard-worthy. Plus, the beach is really beautiful.

When you finally reach the bay, the view doesn't disappoint.

My only complaint about beaches in Saint Barth is that there is hardly any shade: the sun is really strong, especially in the middle of the day and after 3 straight days of laying on the beach all day long I felt like my skin was begging me for a break. So my advice is to start your day pretty early so you can leave the beach at noon when the sun starts becoming too strong, of course apply sunscreen extremely often and if you can, find a spot to lay your beach towels next to some trees or big rocks where you'll eventually have some kind of shade. That's how I survived and avoided an awful sunburn!
