Summer in New York

For my first post from New York I wanted to give you guys a perfect overview of what my days looks like here. The Big Apple is unlike any other city I've ever been to and that's exactly why I love it so much. There's always something to do, see and discover. I usually spend my weekends checking out new cute restaurants or dessert places, shopping at my favorite stores and hanging out and pic-nicking at my favorite parks.

For my outfits I like to keep it practical (no heels for busy city days that's for sure!) but still cute and super girly. I love the off the shoulders trend and I am a sucker for cute summer dresses and two piece outfits because they make it so easy to get ready in the morning and you always look so put together. I love shopping online fir different, unique pieces and TOBI is definitely one of my favorite websites do to that.

I especially love shopping around in Soho where all the best stores are and stopping by a few trusted thrift stores like Buffalo Exchange. If you follow me on my Instastory you might have noticed already ;)

I also especially love strolling in Central Park and Washington Square park while snacking on macarons or yummy chocolate chip cookies from Levain bakery. Cherry blossoms season made the city look so pretty!

Spring Pinks in Paris

As I'm sure you've all noticed by now, pink is one of my favorite colors and when spring comes around I cannot help but wearing soft pastels and fresh whites. The other day I was strolling on avenue Montaigne and the Champs Elysées and decided to pop into Zara for a second to see the new arrivals. I saw this bubblegum pink ruffle top with bows on the sleeves and immediately knew it was meant to be shot in the colorful Rue Crémieux, where all the houses are painted different pastel shades. The street really looks like a giant box of macarons and was filled with people taking pictures. Of course I chose the pinkest of them all.

Postcards from Paris

There aren't many cities in the world that take your breath away as often as Paris does.
It almost feels like time has stopped there: every little street is magical and every street corner seems to have in store wonderful surprises for the ones who are willing to look for them. Nothing can beat letting your sight wander out of the window of your car, while stuck in traffic, and seeing the iron lady stand tall and fierce in front of you. So here's an ode to the city of lights, may you always remain beautiful, strong and timeless.

Bonjour Paris!

Paris welcomed me with beautiful weather and warm temperatures. What else could I possibly ask for? On my first day in the French capital I woke up super early and headed out to rue Saint Honoré to walk around the shops and do some shopping. Because all the shops had just opened the atmosphere was super quiet and relaxing. I had tea at Chanel rue Cambon and tried on some jewelry, then went to to Ladurée to get yummy macarons and ended up on the Alexander III bridge to shoot these pictures. Couldn't have hoped for a warmer welcome from this amazing city!

Handbag collection

Today is #NationalHandbagDay and what better to to celebrate this fun day than to bring all of my babies out for a family picture?? :D I have loved and cherished every single one of them from the moment I bought them and have used all of them so much! I am ashamed to admit that there are still a ton of bags on my wishlist but I am so very grateful for everything I have! Not that I haven't worked my ass off to be able to afford every single one, because I really have.

So to us, handbags lovers out there, may our collections keep on growing! :D

(Of course I realized only after taking these that my Drew and a Chanel bag were missing but all of the others are here i promise!)

Salt on my hair, sand on my skin

Happy Friday loves! Here are the pics from a beach party that took place at a gorgeous hotel here in Guadeloupe the other day. I got back from NYC with so many new pretty clothes that I won't have to face the "I don't have anything to wear" struggle for at least a couple of months!! Haha (Shopaholic? Me? I think you're mistaken Sir..) Anyways this gorgeous lace dress is a perfect dupe to the expensive Mister Self Portrait one and is so inexpensive! I can vouch for the quality and you can see for yourself that the details are absolutely perfect!

Dress: Shein (this one is sold out but you can get the longer version here) - Sunglasses: Céline - Ring: YSL

How pretty is this lace? And how cool is that criss-crossed back?

Pink

This very pink post concludes my New York adventures. On this last day in the city my babe Yana and I met up with the lovely Katya from Flora Theory and we had an amazing lunch at Bluestone Lane in the West Village. Then we proceeded to snap some pictures with this gorgeous flower box by Flora Theory! The weather was absolutely perfect but the company was even better! So sad to be leaving this amazing city once again!

Little Italy

Every time I'm in the city I cannot help but testing as many restaurants as I possibly can. Today between a bloggers meeting in Little Italy and a showroom appointment in Times Square I have been running around Manhattan like a crazy person! Comfort was key when deciding what to wear: I opted for this laid back but still somewhat elegant romper and comfy espadrilles. Add a lace bralette and a super trendy choker and you've got yourself an insanely stylish yet extremely practical everyday outfit.

Romper: Nordstrom Rack - Espadrilles: Valentino - Bag: Chanel - Sunglasses: Céline

I met up with my babe Yana and a fellow blogger Dikla for lunch at Seamore's. We tried the fried fish tacos and the vegan tacos (with broccoli and a tofu sauce) and an order of Poke (raw fish, peanuts and avocado) to share. I had been wanting to try out this restaurant for the longest time. Its adorable outdoor seating area and incredible online reviews giving always made me want to go ahead and try it and I'm so happy I finally did! Everything was really good and now I want to come back and try some more things from their menu.

After our tacos we walked around little italy and soho and finally stopped by Gorgetown Cupcakes for dessert. We got their Black and White cupcakes which are chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting. To be honest, these are my ultimate guilty pleasure! So incredibly soft and flavorful!

It's with a full stomach that I then headed uptown to the Theater District to go visit the Modern Vice showroom.

Modern Vice is a really cool handcrafted footwear and accessory brand that imports all of the leather and hardware directly from Italy and produces shoes in house in New York City. I had the pleasure to tour their showroom and production space (I took you guys along with me on Snapchat by the way! If you don't follow me yet go ahead, my username is "sarahgallazzi") and even got to choose a couple of pairs of super cool boots! They will be handmade and will probably be ready in a couple of weeks: I am so excited to receive them and show them to you!

Shoes galore at Modern Vice.

Brights

Sun, sea, friends, mocktails and bright colors. Those are the ingredients for a perfect start of the day! When friends come to visit you, you take a day off (especially if it's a Monday!) and just enjoy life with them! And that's exactly what happened here. Drink at one of the most beautiful hotels on the island, followed by a dip in the crystal clear waters and a yummy lunch was just what we all needed :)

Quality time

In honor of Mother's Day, my brother and I took my mom out for a walk, a little window shopping and an ice cream date yesterday. The weather was absolutely perfect, the sun was shining yet it wasn't too hot nor humid. When we walked by this cute little bench in front of this pink flower explosion we couldn't help ourselves and decided to stop and take some mother daughter pictures :D I am so glad I got to spend some quality time with her and show her how thankful I am to have her!
So of course I also wanted to dedicate this post to her, the woman who taught me everything I know and that has been there for me through thin and thick. She is my biggest inspiration and my best friend and she deserves all the happiness in the world! I hope one day I'll be as awesome a mom as she is to me!

On me: Bag: Céline - Dress: Shein - Shoes: Stuart Weitzman - Sunglasses: Céline

Just look at how happy she is with her ice cream! haha while I'm just trying to take a decent picture of the ice cream before it melt completely!

Strawberry, passion fruit and yogurt ice cream, my absolute favorite flavors!

Wishing all the beautiful mothers out there a happy Mother's Day! You are our real heroes!

Off the shoulders

A short stop during the little road trip we took this weekend is all I needed to snap these pictures. We were headed to a restaurant/lounge on the beach with music and awesome decor and I was feeling all the coachella vibes because that place always makes me feel like I'm at a music festival. Hence this look. Except that we're not in the desert here.

Choker, top and shorts: Forever 21 (in stores now!) - Bag: Céline - Shoes: Chanel

Days like these

As soon as I got back to Guadeloupe, Stephany (from @stephanyayinda), a super talented freelance photographer and dear friend of mine, came to visit me! I hadn't seen her in 6 months and I was so happy to finally be reunited with her! We decided to head to one of the nicest hotels and spas of the island for a yummy lunch on her first day here. Of course I jumped on the occasion to dress up a little and wear this gorgeous baroque dress and my trusted Emilio Pucci golden pumps. These are so extremely comfortable, it's unbelievable! I have worn them for many nights out and danced for 6 straight hours in them and my feet barely hurt at the end of the night! Seriously God sent!

Brooch: Chanel - Bracelets: The Peach Box - Link bracelet: J. Crew - Ring: YSL

And on to the delicious food! I decided to get a cheeseburger (hello cheat day!) with fries and salad and Stephany went for a beef carpaccio with a side of fries! Can you tell we're obsessed with this place's french fries? The are SO GOOD!

NYC Day 3

My final day in the city was all about friends and good times! It started with the most delicious brunch ever at Ladurée in Soho with my girls Yana and Audrey. There I got my ultimate favorite treat: french toasts with raspberry coulis and rose infused whipped cream. If those sound like heaven to you, I can confirm that they really are!

Bags: Chloé - Ring: YSL - Bracelets: The Peach Box - Watch: Marc Bale

Of course I couldn't leave Ladurée without a box of macarons to go!

After brunch and a little bit of window shopping in Soho, we headed to the upper west side. I love the vibe that the lush green spaces and renowned performing arts venues give to this area. The immaculate brownstones and impeccable storefronts lend this neighborhood a surprisingly village-like vibe.

My favorite shopping spots in the Upper West side are Century 21 and the Bloomingdales Outlet store. I always end up making one in a lifetime designer finds at ridiculous prices there! I love to go to Shake Shack if I'm ever craving burgers and yummy milkshakes and Levain Bakery's cookies are a must try if you're ever in this area!

My look for the day was edgy but comfy.

Biker jacket: Céline - Lace up shirt: Shein - Pants: 7 for all mankind - Shoes: Isabel Marant

We wanted to get a couple of those delectable Levain Bakery cookies (the chocolate chip and walnut ones are my FAVEE!) but the line was insanely long! So we decided against it. When we got tired of walking and shopping around we stopped for cupcakes at Georgetown cupcakes. The perfect sweet ending to a perfect day!

NYC Day 1

No city in the world feels more like home than NYC. Last week, thanks to a fortunate turn of events, I ended up taking an impromptu trip and flying to the big apple! This getaway wasn't planned at all (I literally got my tickets 12 hours before my departure thanks to a friend that works for the airline) but I managed to quickly pack up my things and alert all my friends that I was going to see them very soon!

As soon as I landed at JFK I dropped off my bags at my friend's place in Brooklyn and headed to the city to meet up with her! We chose Union Square as our first stop because it's one of our favorite places in the city.
Tons of good food places (my favorites are Desi Shack for indian food, Chopt' for delicious salads, Edo for sushis and of course Chipotle for mexican!), great shopping spots (from Nordstrom Rack, Forever 21, Sephora and MAC to Beacon's closet, one of the best thirft store out there!) and a beautiful park perfect for pictures and relaxing in the sun. I was so lucky to find beautiful weather in the city and spring was in full bloom.

My outfit for my first day in NYC was the same outfit I was wearing in the plane, so comfort was key for me. I opted for an all denim ensemble and added neutral colors.

Denim shirt: Abercrombie & Fitch - Jeans: J. Crew - Espadrilles and bag: Chanel - Biker jacket and sunglasses: Céline.

We had (an absolutely DELICIOUS!) lunch at Desi Shack (no surprise there!). I got a basmati rice bowl with veggies and paneer and Yana got the chicken tikka. Both dishes were to die for and we got mango lassis to tone down the spiciness of the sauce.

Had been waiting for this moment for over 6 months!!

Can't get over the prettiness of NYC buildings. Wherever we walk around, I am always looking up.

We ended up walking to Washington Square park from Union Square because we wanted to check out Crossroads, another very interesting thrift store. Washington Square park is another one of my favorite spots in the city. From there you can see the Empire state building, the Flatiron building, you can get yummy burgers and shakes at Shake Shack (my faves though are the cheese fries!!) and you can top it all with ice cream from Eataly.

After all the walking and shopping, we were starving so we headed to the east side to Antico Noé for dinner, our last stop for the day. This was our first time there and we got to discover the centuries-old tradition behind these delicious internationally acclaimed paninis. I had the opportunity to taste some of the best paninis I've ever had (like the #21 or #23) and fell in love with the vegetarian one. The mix of grilled veggies and homemade pesto sauce in between two layers of soft on the inside yet crunchy on the outside Italian bread took me back to my Italian childhood days and immediately made of Antico Noé my new favorite sandwich shop in the city.

A little piece of Italy in NYC.

February favorites

February flew by so fast with all of the fashion week chaos and here we are at the end of the month with another favorites post. I love to recap my most used items in each category every month because it makes me realize which products I really love and which buys were not so necessary after all. How about you? Let me know in the comments below some of your favorite products!

FASHION

I've been in Guadeloupe for the most part of the month so my fashion faves are going to be beach essentials! Bikinis to be exact! These three are my current favorites and it's no surprise: I'm such a sucker for anything pink and sparkly, white and lacey and super colorful.

Hat: H&M (old) - Sunglasses: Ray Ban Clubmaster - White lace bikini: Target - Pink sequins bikini: Victoria's Secret (old) - Colorful bikini: Target.

BEAUTY

Having a candle as a beauty favorite may appear bizarre but just hear me out: these Lemon West candles are made of 100% pure soy wax and essential oils and they have become my guilty pleasure when it comes to moisturizing. Every time I hop in a bath I light one and not only they make the whole bathroom smell divine but when I get out I use the melted wax as lotion on my legs and arms. They are also vegan, toxin free and against animal testing! It really doesn't get much better than these!

Candles: Lemon West - Monogram mug: Anthropologie - Lipsticks: YSL Rouge Volupté - Lipstick organizer: Marshalls - Macaron trinkets: Urban Outfitters

MAKEUP

It wouldn't be a favorites post without my most used lipsticks of the month. Living in the Caribbean I don't end up using that much makeup and only go for a bold lip and a little eyeliner most of the time. So I really have my fun when it come to switching up the colors and textures of my lip products. This month was literally all over the place with matte nudes and creamy corals and satin purples.

Pale pink lipstick: Giambattista Valli x MAC - Purple lipstick: Milani cosmetics 34 Violet Volt - Burgundy lipstick: YSL Rouge Pur Couture The Mats - NYX SMLC16 in Cairo - NARS Velvet matte lip pencil in Cruella - YSL Rouge Volupté 27

ACCESSORIES

Life in the Caribbean is all about color! These were some of my most used accessories this month: every time I go out for a drink or to the restaurant with some friends I love to keep my outfit simple and monochromatic and simply add statement shoes and a killer bag!

Bicolor clutch: Céline - Flamingo heels: Sophia Webster - Pink Tumbler: Starbucks - Orange pumps: Dolce & Gabbana - Color block wedges: Giuseppe Zanotti - Orange mini crossbody bag: Céline trio small - Pink tote: Céline mini luggage - Pink and yellow pumps: B by Brian Atwood - Blue tote: Prada.

NEW IN

My fave purchase of the month were these white Nike Roshe. I am not a sneakers kind of girl but I've been wanting these for almost a year now so I decided to finally buy them and thank god I did! They're super comfy of course and make me feel super stylish while working out, which makes me want to work out even more! Apparently these are all the motivation I needed to work out regularly! :D

RANDOM

I just can't hide my excitement when it come to room decor. This month I switched up some of the prints on my gallery wall and rearranged the shelves in my room. I am thinking about adding some floating shelves on the wall next to my bed to create some additional organizing space. Maybe room tour coming up? :D

Shoes: Givenchy - Candle: Diptyque - Prints: Chicfetti

Blue

Like the bright above skies, like the crystal-clear waters that surround this beautiful island and like this flowy Zara skirt I wore the other day. Just add to the equation some white lace, a pair of oversized black sunnies, a panama hat and some palm trees and you got yourself a perfect day.

Hat: H&M - Sunglasses: Céline (similar here) - Bikini: Target - Skirt: Zara

Bracelet: The Peach Box

January Favorites

The first chapter of 2016 is already over! I hope your year started in a great way and I want to take the time to wish all of you lovely readers all the best for what's to come!
You may have noticed how my last monthly favorites post was a couple of months ago, mainly because I have been sticking to the same old good products and didn't have anything new and sensational to share. But new year means new you so I went ahead and did a little bit of shopping (it's all research really!) and here are the new products that I tested all month long and absolutely loved!

FASHION

This snuggly cream sweater hasn't left my side this month! I love how I can layer it on top of a plaid shirt or even a denim shirt and get a neutral look with the shirt's detail popping out. It's perfect with jeans and ankle boots or skirts and thigh-high boots! I always add a statement necklace or a Chanel brooch to make it even more interesting.

Sweater: Shein - H bracelet: Hermès - Sunglasses: Céline - Lipstick: YSL - Ring: YSL - Bag: Chloé

BEAUTY

The first month of the year is the perfect occasion to update your beauty routine and make the changes you wanted for so long. I decided to try out LA Fresh, a skincare company that makes natural and ethical products that are as good for you as they are for the environment and the animals! Their silk-infused cotton mask is my absolute fave and I am addicted to their make up removing wipes as well as the oil-free face cleanser (a life saver for my oily skin!). I would totally advise that you try out some of their products and with the code MORELAFRESH20 you can get 20% off your order! (the promo code is non affiliated!)

Water Proof Make Up Remover, Acetone-free Nailpolish Remover, Facial Treatment Mask, Oil-free Face Cleanser, Body Soother Wipes.

MAKEUP

January was all about a neutral eye, sensational dramatic lashes and a deep matte burgundy lip. Seriously I must have worn this combo 90% of the time. This mascara must be my fave of all times: the ultra thin brush makes it super easy to apply to your upper and lower lashes and still gives you enormous volume! It doesn't clump or leak and it's very long lasting!
The Urban Decay primer is the only eyelid primer I have used in my whole life and I don't think I'll ever switch it out for anything else! It's simply a miracle worker! And finally Eugénie from the Giambattista Valli for MAC Cosmetics limited edition goes on smooth and stays in place the whole day! (even after lunch, but I do apply it over a lip pencil base).

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir mascara - Urban Decay Primer Potion - MAC Eugénie lipstick.

ACCESSORIES

Chanel, Chanel and more Chanel! My go to accessories this month were all by the same French fashion house that haunts everybody's fashion dreams. From the small sparkly earrings and versatile WOC, to the statement brooches and beloved espadrilles (I am currently in the Caribbean so no freezing winters for me!), it was a Chanel filled month!

Brooches: Chanel (also love this one and this one) - Earrings: Chanel (these are adorable!) - Bag: Chanel WOC

NEW IN

Okay. Let's take a moment here to appreciate the beauty of this jacket. I've lusted over it for almost a year now and finally this month it went on sale! You guys have no idea how fast I RAN to the store to be sure to snatch it! Now I just need spring to hurry so that I can start wearing it.

Jacket: Céline (similar here)

RANDOM

By now it's probably quite clear to all of you that I have a slight mug obsession. I actually don't even drink coffee, I am more of a tea person, but I still take my mugs very seriously. Marshalls and Target always have super cute ones but there are tons of small independent shops that have amazing ones as well. These are my current favorites:

Best day ever mug: Marshalls - "S" monogrammed mug: Anthropologie - Goal digger & Tulle glitter peonies and champagne mug: Fox and Clover - Good things come to those who hustle mug: Designs by Maria

How about you? I would love for you to share some of your favorites with me in the comments :)

What I got for Christmas 2015

Merry Christmas to all of you, my lovely readers! I hope you are having a wonderful day with your families and loved ones, eating tons of good food and getting mountains of good presents!

I love this time of year and I'm so excited to be back in NYC so that I can appreciate the beauty of the city during the holiday season. I can't wait to go ice skating in Central Park and admire the gorgeous Rockefeller Center Christmas tree and shop at the Christmas village in Bryant park.
In the meantime I wanted to share with you today a collective "What I got for Christmas haul"! I love seeing what people get for Christmas because it give me ideas for future gifts and just makes me happy seeing people happy!

Here's a little group picture for starters! These are all the gifts that I got in the month of December: some were opened before Christmas day simply because I have no self control!

This beauty was on top of my wishlist for the longest time and I don't own any nude/beige bags so I am so thrilled to start using it!

All the Chanel goodies I got: the Base Coat and Top Coat are essentials to my mani/pedis and I was running really low so I'm happy I got new ones! And how pretty is that Coco Chanel Christmas card that came all the way from the rue Cambon boutique in Paris?

New sparkly espadrilles!

And this gorgeous pearl brooch that I hunted down for almost a year before my mom actually found it!

My brother got me this amazing gift set of Aromatherapy candles by the British brand Parks. The rose and lavender ones smell so good!

These sunglasses are another piece that I wanted for the longest time but was always sold out everywhere! The Céline new preppy sunglasses are slightly smaller than the famous Audrey ones but still very feminine and elegant.

Love my new Daniel Wellington watch! It's so girly and classy and goes perfectly with my pink obsession! If you wanted to try them out you can use the code SHOPWEARREPEAT for 15% off your online purchase and free shipping worldwide! (expires on January 15th, 2016).

What did you guys get for Christmas? Let me know in the comments down below!
