Perfect Day

My first day in New York turned out to be one of the best days ever! I met up with my favorite babe Yana (from @MissYanaCherie) and started our day in Soho. As usual we went to Georgetown cupcakes for a small morning treat (did you know that they give away free 100 cupcakes every day?? Just go there between 10am and noon and ask for one! You're welcome ;) ). After the delicious chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting on top we decided to just stroll around soho and ended up in front of Saint Laurent. The store front was so cute that I decided to take outfit pics in front of it!

These two bangles from The Peach Box are my absolute favorite pieces of jewelry right now! I cannot express to you how gorgeous and chic they are! They go beautifully with everything and are very high quality! As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words so just look for yourself:

And then this happened.. I revealed what's inside on my Snapchat (my Snapchat is sarahgallazzi by the way)!

The Fendi store in Soho is also the cutest ever!

From Soho we then walked to the West Village to get to Olio e Più, one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITES restaurants in the city and strolled through Washington Square Park. Such a beautiful spring day.

Isn't this restaurant so adorable? I love their terrace and Yana and I were there for almost 3 hours eating the yummiest food and laughing and enjoying the sun.

We ordered the Antipasto misto (mix of charcuterie and cheese) and a side of focaccia (delicious Italian bread) as a starter and then I got the Sacchettoni cacio e pepe with a side of asparagus and Yana got the strip steak with pesto sauce and a side of sautée broccolis. Everything was beyond delicious! The asparagus was so flavorful and the antipasto misto brought back so many memories from my years in Italy! It was lovely!

Of course even after all that food, there's always room for dessert! So we ordered chocolate lava cakes and cappuccinos. If you saw my snaps of the cake you will know how good this was! :P

How stylish is that girl walking by on my right? #YASQUEEN

After all that food we just continued to walk and shop around and hit some of our most favorite stores (that I already told you all about in this post).

NYC Day 3

My final day in the city was all about friends and good times! It started with the most delicious brunch ever at Ladurée in Soho with my girls Yana and Audrey. There I got my ultimate favorite treat: french toasts with raspberry coulis and rose infused whipped cream. If those sound like heaven to you, I can confirm that they really are!

Of course I couldn't leave Ladurée without a box of macarons to go!

After brunch and a little bit of window shopping in Soho, we headed to the upper west side. I love the vibe that the lush green spaces and renowned performing arts venues give to this area. The immaculate brownstones and impeccable storefronts lend this neighborhood a surprisingly village-like vibe.

My favorite shopping spots in the Upper West side are Century 21 and the Bloomingdales Outlet store. I always end up making one in a lifetime designer finds at ridiculous prices there! I love to go to Shake Shack if I'm ever craving burgers and yummy milkshakes and Levain Bakery's cookies are a must try if you're ever in this area!

My look for the day was edgy but comfy.

We wanted to get a couple of those delectable Levain Bakery cookies (the chocolate chip and walnut ones are my FAVEE!) but the line was insanely long! So we decided against it. When we got tired of walking and shopping around we stopped for cupcakes at Georgetown cupcakes. The perfect sweet ending to a perfect day!

NYC Day 2

My second day in the city was even crazier and jam-packed than the first one! It started with a pampering appointment at the CARAVAN Styling Studio, located at the Gregory hotel which is right around the corner from Herald Square. There I met up with Valerie, a beauty junkie and connoisseur who got me ready for the photoshoot I had planned in the afternoon by taking care of my nails, hair and make up.
Let me just tell you that she's simply amazing at what she does! I was in love with my braided hair and my make up never looked so good!

Caravan Studio has some amazing products from their awesome partners! PIXI Beauty, Color Club Nail lacquer, Pop Beauty and OGX Beauty just to name a few!

I really loved the quirky luxe vibe of the studio!

How fun are these fashion dollls from a New York city based fashion designer/artist??
Can you name them all? (Let me just tell you that I spent like an hour trying to!)

Nails were a struggle. I had been on a 5 hours flight then day before which really weakened my nails and a lot ended up breaking. So all my nails were different lenghts. But Valerie quickly trimmed them and make them look very cohesive! I chose white for my mani, which I think is a perfect color for spring and looks extremely good on a tan hand!

The space is filled with powerful positive messages just like this mirror art installation by Bottled Brooklyn which promotes self empowerment.

After a couple of hours I was fabulous and photoshoot ready! But since it was still too early i decided to shop a little bit and take care of the beautiful day by walking around the city.

Needless to say that this Forever 21 outfit came home with me!

Once again my favorite thing to do while walking around in the city is to look up.

But sometimes the cutest things are just right in front of you! Like, can we talk about this pastel pink Vespa and polka dot helmet?? #GOALS

After all this walking it was finally time for food! We stopped at 12 Chairs Cafe and ordered a feast for ourselves! Shakshuka with a greek salad, mini lamb kebabs, guacamole, french toasts and pancakes with fresh fruits and the most delicious fresh squeezed lemonade! Everything was absolutely amazing! I definitely recommend this spot!

After we got our energy back it was finally time to shoot my look. Loved the vibe of this hotel ever since I walked by it a year ago.

NYC Day 1

No city in the world feels more like home than NYC. Last week, thanks to a fortunate turn of events, I ended up taking an impromptu trip and flying to the big apple! This getaway wasn't planned at all (I literally got my tickets 12 hours before my departure thanks to a friend that works for the airline) but I managed to quickly pack up my things and alert all my friends that I was going to see them very soon!

As soon as I landed at JFK I dropped off my bags at my friend's place in Brooklyn and headed to the city to meet up with her! We chose Union Square as our first stop because it's one of our favorite places in the city.
Tons of good food places (my favorites are Desi Shack for indian food, Chopt' for delicious salads, Edo for sushis and of course Chipotle for mexican!), great shopping spots (from Nordstrom Rack, Forever 21, Sephora and MAC to Beacon's closet, one of the best thirft store out there!) and a beautiful park perfect for pictures and relaxing in the sun. I was so lucky to find beautiful weather in the city and spring was in full bloom.

My outfit for my first day in NYC was the same outfit I was wearing in the plane, so comfort was key for me. I opted for an all denim ensemble and added neutral colors.

Denim shirt: Abercrombie & Fitch - Jeans: J. Crew - Espadrilles and bag: Chanel - Biker jacket and sunglasses: Céline.

We had (an absolutely DELICIOUS!) lunch at Desi Shack (no surprise there!). I got a basmati rice bowl with veggies and paneer and Yana got the chicken tikka. Both dishes were to die for and we got mango lassis to tone down the spiciness of the sauce.

Had been waiting for this moment for over 6 months!!

Can't get over the prettiness of NYC buildings. Wherever we walk around, I am always looking up.

We ended up walking to Washington Square park from Union Square because we wanted to check out Crossroads, another very interesting thrift store. Washington Square park is another one of my favorite spots in the city. From there you can see the Empire state building, the Flatiron building, you can get yummy burgers and shakes at Shake Shack (my faves though are the cheese fries!!) and you can top it all with ice cream from Eataly.

After all the walking and shopping, we were starving so we headed to the east side to Antico Noé for dinner, our last stop for the day. This was our first time there and we got to discover the centuries-old tradition behind these delicious internationally acclaimed paninis. I had the opportunity to taste some of the best paninis I've ever had (like the #21 or #23) and fell in love with the vegetarian one. The mix of grilled veggies and homemade pesto sauce in between two layers of soft on the inside yet crunchy on the outside Italian bread took me back to my Italian childhood days and immediately made of Antico Noé my new favorite sandwich shop in the city.

A little piece of Italy in NYC.

24 hours in Burlington, Vermont

During our road trip we visited so many beautiful small cities. One of the prettiest was definitely Burlington. The marketplace on Church street was adorable with small independent shops alongside bigger brandname stores, its colorful mural and the red brick buildings all around.

The weather was a bit unpredictable so I opted for a versatile look:
Shirt: Polo Ralph Lauren - Jeans: Abercrombie & Fitch - Shoes: Chanel

The waterfront on the lake Champlain was lined with typical seafood restaurant and colorful flowers and made the perfect landscape for pretty pictures.

Next stop on our #ShopWearRepeatRoadTrip is Montreal! Pictures coming soon!

Breathtaking White Mountains

The second stop of our road trip was the White Mountains National Park in New Hampshire. We stayed at the Eagle Mountain House and Golf Club and we loved absolutely everything about it! The location was unbeatable, the history of the hotel fascinating and food was excellent!

For the drive there I chose an easy, laid-back outfit and paired it with some bold red lips:
Denim shirt and destroyed white jeans: Abercrombie & Fitch - Espadrilles: Chanel - Bag: Louis Vuitton - Racoon's tail (not real!): Evolution.

Brooch: Chanel - Bracelet: Hermès.

This beautifully set up veranda was one of our favorite spots to relax after a hike or a day visiting the small city.

The view was just indescribable. I can only imagine how incredible the mountains must look in the winter, all covered in snow!

When it first opened in 1879, the original Eagle Mountain House & Golf Club accommodated 12 guests, modest beginnings for what would be one of New Hampshire’s premier resorts. Today the hotel is recognized as a Historic Hotel of America by the National Trust historic preservation, it now offers 92 heritage accommodations and suites that strive to maintain the historic nature of the inn.

Can we talk about how perfect and cute this little mountain house is?

We decided to leave from the hotel and hike to a nearby river and we arrived to this:

Is this real life??

Our couple of days here were absolutely extraordinary and we left feeling completely reborn.

Best of Boston

As I announced on Instagram a few days back, I just embarked on a two-weeks long road trip across North America and Canada. Our first stop was Boston, Massachusetts.
I was our first time here so we had a lot to visit and experience in just 2 days!!

We started our visit with one of Boston's must-see: the Freedom trail.

The Freedom trail, a 2.5-mile, red-lined route that takes you through 16 historical sites covers over 2 and a half centuries of America's most significant past and makes you discover the rich history of the American Revolution, as it began in Boston.

It starts on the Boston common a beautifully kept public park from where you can see imposing the State House.

It makes you discover countless magnificent statues, beautiful churches, old meeting houses and interesting museums.

Anywhere I looked, the views were breathtaking. This was the Old City Hall, on School street, where the first first public school in the United States were born, around the 1700s.

The past and the present live alongside the Trail and its visitors have the opportunity to see the city as it truly is.

All the red-brick buildings, the small streets lined with flowers and the historical monuments on the trail made us feel like we were in another century!

The waterfront on the Charles river was very picturesque with families taking walks together and dogs and their owners happily jogging.

We had dinner at a seafood restaurant by the water and headed back to the hotel, completely exhausted by all the walking and sightseeing.

We decided to start off our second day in Boston by visiting Harvard.

The campus was as perfectly idyllic as pictured in the myriad of movies and tv shows.

The imposing Tercentenary Theater.

The breathtaking Sanders Theater.

My essentials for the day: Bag: Chanel WOC - Sunglasses: Miu Miu - Ring: Yves Saint Laurent.

After spending the morning in Cambridge visiting the most famous university on the planet we decided to come back to the center of the city to take a walk through the magnificent Boston Public garden and ride on the swan boats.

We decided to take a walk on Newbury street, the main shopping street of the city, where Chanel, Tiffany and Co and Valentino stores are alongside with Zara and H&M.

We ended up to Trinity Church and Copley square were they were projecting a movie on a huge screen and tons of people were laying in the grass enjoying the good weather and the entertainment.

To end our day we decided to visit the Prudential Center Skywalk Observatory and enjoy the magnificent sunset views from there.

In the morning of our third day we attended a Sunday mass at the beautiful St. Mary - St. Catherine of Siena church.

And finally visited the Boston monument before leaving for the White Mountains National Park!

We absolutely loved Boston and would like to come back again during the winter to see how different the city looks! Have you ever been to Boston? What was your favorite place there?? Tell me everything in the comments! :)
