Best Holiday party looks

If there aren’t already enough reasons to love this time of the year, holiday parties are something I always look forward to. You can sign me up for anything that gives me a reason to dress up and go all out with the sequins and the festive jewelry.
However it can be stressful to come up with appropriate outfits for every occasion, without falling into the “outfit repeater” category. (After all, all we want is a good variety of Instagrammable pictures, am I right ladies?).

Here are a few ideas for your holiday looks. Let me know which one is your favorite down below!

Be Dazzling

Wearing the Bella Sweetheart Mini Dress in Navy. Also love this version and this style.

One thing I like to do is keeping my dress elegant and simple so I can go all out with the accessories. I love to make it interesting with a pair of statement earrings and a fabulous clutch. And how gorgeous is this one from Simitri Designs? A real conversation piece! I got the Gray Dreamy Clutch because it goes with both gold and silver and it even has a chain to wear on the shoulder. Also obsessing over this one combining silver, yellow and rose gold.

Bold & Bright

Wearing Speechless Dresses. Also obsessed with this style and this one right here.

On the other hand when I know I’m wearing a dress that has intricate details I keep it simple with my accessories. This beauty has a mesh panel in the front and a cris-cross back. Also I’m obsessed with the color: a shade of burgundy that is perfect not only for Christmas but also for fall and spring.

Jewel Tones

This emerald velvet number and this sapphire one are my absolute faves. Clutch: Simitri Designs.

From emerald green to sapphire blue and ruby red, this is the perfect season to wear all the luxurious hues. Textures and lengths are also total game changers. Satin and velvet have to be my absolute favorites (with a slight preference to velvet because of its more durable nature and the fact that I cannot help myself from spilling everything I hold). Also, don’t keep it mini: midi dresses and longer ones will make you feel like a million bucks! (little bonus tip, if you find a gorgeous long dress but aren’t completely sold on it just bring it to your tailor and add a slit. You’ll have a unique dress that will get you noticed everywhere you go!).

This blogpost is on collaboration with Speechless Dresses and Simitri Designs.

You are my galaxy

I'm talking to you, New York. Always so full of surprises and opportunities, always moving and ever-changing. There isn't another place in the world I'd rather be. New York: you are my universe, you are my galaxy.

My new favorite accessory since the beginning of this year has been this beautiful leather bag from Luana Italy. The Sofia mini satchel is the perfect combination of elegant and polished yet playful and versatile! The creme brulee color with the black accents goes perfectly with literally everything but my favorite part of this bag has to be the pastel pink interior lining! I am the only one who cares about literally the smallest details?

What does your universe revolve around?

I mean business

Hello loves and HAPPY MONDAY! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are feeling ready and energized to conquer this new week! How are those new year's resolutions coming along?

On my end this year has already exceeded my expectations as I was invited to walk the red carpet at a movie premiere this past week! Never in a million years I could have imagined that one day I would have walked a red carpet. I am very thankful for all the amazing opportunities I get but let me tell you a secret: it's all about hard work.
I always get so many dms from people asking me how I afford those designer bags or how I managed to get a big Instagram following and my answer is always the same: HARD WORK!

For some reason I feel like people don't usually like that answer. Believe me, I would have loved to give you the recipe for instant success, but unfortunately there is no such thing! To be a #BossBabe you have to be relentless and passionate! Reading books like "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fck" by Mark Manson (HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!) and wearing power suits, Loubs and Céline sunglasses makes me feel invincible.

I have to adhere to a strict business dress code everyday at work and this Ameliora suit is the most comfortable yet flattering suit I have ever owned! The company is run by boss babes, they manufacture in NYC and import all of their fabrics from Italy. I cannot get over how luxurious the red silk lining of this jacket is. A true statement suit and a perfect match to my Louboutins!

Flame

Laying in bed late at night, scrolling through your Instagram feed instead of putting your phone away and capitalizing on your sleep is something we are all guilty of. Amidst all those shots of impeccable make up looks and stunning ootds, you'll find the occasional motivational quote. There are some quotes that just resonate so much more with each and every one of us and personally, I've fallen into the habit of printing those out as decor and, little by little, I found myself starting to live by them. One of my favorite ones is:

"Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire"

Because we should start listening to our inner selves and living with passion and purpose. What sets your soul on fire? For me it's taking on different challenges and pushing myself, travelling and making people happy. From my workouts to the time I spend studying for exams, the motivation I feel to work towards my goals is intoxicating.
I sincerely hope you all find something that sets your souls on fire. Honestly, there is no better feeling.

On another note these Sarah-Copan ankle skinny jeans from Articles of Society are my new faves go tos. They're super soft and flattering and I'm loving the roses details!

Pumpkin Spice

I'm a summer baby and always will be so I get extremely sad whenever Labor Day hits. I'm never ready to say goodbye to the long and sunny summer days and to all the cute summer outfits (am I the only one obsessed with white lace on beautifully tan skin?). This year however the transition seems to be very soft as everyone is still sporting short sleeves and no jacket in October. Add to that the fact that the whole city is decorated for fall with cute little pumpkins, orange and red flowers and that the fall lattes are now available at Starbucks (in addition to the PSL do yourself a favor and try the maple pecan latte too!) and you might even be able to call me a happy camper.

Summer Riot

If you're ever in need of a quick city escapade with a spectacular ending I would suggest Coney Island for many reasons. Supercool graffiti walls where you can snap amazing pics *wink*, tons of good food, rides, games and cheerful people everywhere and last but not least the glorious fireworks they have every Friday night. We had an absolutely lovely time there yesterday and I have to say I am literally obsessed with this off the shoulders, wide leg midi jumpsuit from Lulus I wore! It's something totally new for me but decided to give it a try and I'm so happy I did :) it's flattering, super comfy and so chic with all the ruffles and bow. All the summer vibes.

The old New York

New York is a lot like life: always so full of surprises. You might it think have it all figured out and then you walk a little past your comfort zone and find yourself in completely new territory. There is nothing better than knowing that the possibilities are endless and whatever you can think of you can achieve. Strolling in the gardens at Tudor city this past weekend felt like I was travelling back in time. The complex, built in 1927, was the first residential skyscraper complex in the world! Can you imagine how it felt living there back in the 30s?

Chasing Rainbows

Fashion should be fun and colorful and if your outfit doesn't make you smile every time you see your reflection somewhere, then you're doing something wrong! When I first saw this skirt at Zara I fell in love: the color was one my favorites, the playful ruffles were so fun and the asymmetrical hem made it all the way more interesting. I have gotten so many compliments for it and so many random people stopped me in the streets to ask me where I got it. We rarely venture out of our comfort zone, in life like in fashion, but when we do the results are magical. So that's my way of saying to you to be daring this summer and don't be afraid to try new things, from a hot pink skirt to skydiving or swimming with sharks (yes those things really are on my bucket list :D ). How about you? What's on your bucket list for this summer?

Happy Birthday America!

Who doesn't love long weekends? Everyone escapes and New York turns into some kind of ghost town. And having the city as your personal playground is basically every blogger's dream! I was shopping around in Soho and the Lower East Side yesterday and just happened to walk by the most perfect backdrop for a 4th of July post. You gotta love New York! So here it is! I wish you all a wonderful long weekend, may your days be filled with sunshine, laughter, amazing food, good friends and memorable family moments!

I don't think I will ever get tired of wearing pink

I love how effortlessly and harmonically extremes coexists in the city. Skyscrapers are built next to historical monuments and low rise buildings making the contrast between them striking and fascinating. One minute you can be in the busy streets of Times Square bustling with tourists and street artists and the other you find yourself in the peace and quiet of Bryant Park surrounded by flowers and families spending quality time together. Either you love it or you hate it, there is no in between. And one thing is sure, just like wearing pink, I will never get tired of New York City.

A Rainy Summer Day

Summer weekends have to be my favorite time of the year. Unfortunately NYC weather is trying really hard not to let us enjoy the beautiful weather as it seems like the sun only shines during the week and leaves its place to clouds and thunderstorms on the weekends. Anybody else in this case or is it just here?
So what happens when you optimistically plan a photoshoot in Soho on a Saturday morning, thinking you'll be fine and it ends up pouring? You end up in the Oculus at the World Trade Center, which by the way is probably the most expensive train station in the world with a $3.9B construction cost. The station slash shopping center with its beautiful natural light and stunning white Italian marble stairs turned out to be the perfect hideaway during the storm says not only me but also the tons of tourists that ended up there to escape the rain.

Surprisingly my outfit turned out to be weather appropriate after all. I have to admit I love this strange and unpredictable weather because it gives me the opportunity to wear mid-season pieces like this beautiful flowy old pink trench coat. I'm all about whites and soft pastels!

A Magical Day: VC Polo Classic

When I think of my ideal day there are a few things I always picture: beautiful weather is a must, a breathtaking location, amazingly fashionable people around and of course good friends to share all of this with. Veuve Clicquot made all my dreams come true last Saturday at their annual VC Polo Classic Event. It was an afternoon filled with sun, champagne and laughter that I spent, surrounded by people with an incredible sense of style, at the Liberty State Park which has stunning views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty. The polo match was the first one I ever attended and I have to admit it was pretty exciting and very entertaining. As if all of that wasn't enough, to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of this event, Alicia Keys took the stage and sang a few songs for us. Listening to everyone sing along to Empire State of Mind while overlooking the beautiful skyline and Statue of Liberty was one of the best experiences ever!

Live colorfully

I will never be able to understand why people love wearing black so much. While I can definitely appreciate an all black outfit and opt for this option myself at times, I find it way more interesting to wear white (if you hadn't noticed yet!) or bright fun colors! So of course when I spotted this chiffon off the shoulders baby doll dress at Raul Penaranda's Spring/Summer 2017 Fashion Show I knew I had to have it! Pair it with sparkly Givenchy heels and find an amazing colorful mural and you've got yourself a happy blogger!

Paris blues

Even though I'm already in New York I had to post these pictures I snapped a few days back in Paris. The Italian that lives in me had to stop everything and have an impromptu photoshoot when I stumbled upon this gorgeous façade in the 14th Arrondissement of the French capital. Can somebody explain to me why I was perfectly fine wearing short sleeves last month but I am now freeze my butt off and still wearing coats here in NYC? #struggles

Summer in New York

For my first post from New York I wanted to give you guys a perfect overview of what my days looks like here. The Big Apple is unlike any other city I've ever been to and that's exactly why I love it so much. There's always something to do, see and discover. I usually spend my weekends checking out new cute restaurants or dessert places, shopping at my favorite stores and hanging out and pic-nicking at my favorite parks.

For my outfits I like to keep it practical (no heels for busy city days that's for sure!) but still cute and super girly. I love the off the shoulders trend and I am a sucker for cute summer dresses and two piece outfits because they make it so easy to get ready in the morning and you always look so put together. I love shopping online fir different, unique pieces and TOBI is definitely one of my favorite websites do to that.

I especially love shopping around in Soho where all the best stores are and stopping by a few trusted thrift stores like Buffalo Exchange. If you follow me on my Instastory you might have noticed already ;)

I also especially love strolling in Central Park and Washington Square park while snacking on macarons or yummy chocolate chip cookies from Levain bakery. Cherry blossoms season made the city look so pretty!

Royals

Because being in Paris is basically living in a fairy tale, my blogger "job" has never been easier. Everywhere I go there always is a perfect photo opportunity just waiting for me. After some shopping at Gucci on the Rue Saint Honoré I ended up on the Jardins du Palais Royal (the Royal Palace Gardens) and couldn't help myself from shooting some pictures with my news goodies. I fell in love with the marmont line and I'm so happy I found both items I wanted! The heels are AMAZING quality, very comfortable and run half a size big (so size down!) and this bag, in this size and color, completely stole my heart! Paris is after all, the city of love. :)

Spring Pinks in Paris

As I'm sure you've all noticed by now, pink is one of my favorite colors and when spring comes around I cannot help but wearing soft pastels and fresh whites. The other day I was strolling on avenue Montaigne and the Champs Elysées and decided to pop into Zara for a second to see the new arrivals. I saw this bubblegum pink ruffle top with bows on the sleeves and immediately knew it was meant to be shot in the colorful Rue Crémieux, where all the houses are painted different pastel shades. The street really looks like a giant box of macarons and was filled with people taking pictures. Of course I chose the pinkest of them all.

Postcards from Paris

There aren't many cities in the world that take your breath away as often as Paris does.
It almost feels like time has stopped there: every little street is magical and every street corner seems to have in store wonderful surprises for the ones who are willing to look for them. Nothing can beat letting your sight wander out of the window of your car, while stuck in traffic, and seeing the iron lady stand tall and fierce in front of you. So here's an ode to the city of lights, may you always remain beautiful, strong and timeless.
