You only live once, but if you do it right once is enough

I am a firm believer in celebrating: I celebrate accomplishments (no matter how big or small), I celebrate my friends' achievements, I celebrate special dates, I celebrate life. Because really, it's all about the small things, those little everyday miracles that make life worth living. :)
So this year for my birthday party I went all out and organized the party of my dreams: it was all pink and gold and beautiful! It turned out to be the most perfect day ever, from start to finish. Everyone in my life did their part to make me feel so special and loved: from my coworkers, to my friends and even you guys! I just wanted to thank everyone once again for all the love and support. Now here's a few shots from my "Sweet Twenty-Six"!

My birthday outfit - Dress: INA - Bag: Valentino

I went for an all pink setting, with touches of gold here and there. Even the food was on theme: pink donuts, pink sugar cookies, pink cotton candy, pink Pocky and pink cupcakes that spelled out "HAPPY BDAY SARAH".

But my favorite part were the pink drinks! If you've never tried Belvoir's Elderflower and Rose Sparkling Lemonade if are missing out big time! I first tried it during a styling studio session last September during NYFW and it instantly became my new favorite drink. Plus the packaging in so cute, how can one resist?

Details from the party. My beautiful friend Katya from Flora Theory showed up with the most beautiful flower box I've ever seen. Seriously obsessed!

And here are my birthday gifts! Gucci Marmont belt, Valentino Rockstud sandals, Saint Laurent Sac du Jour tote and Hermes Kelly Double Tour bracelet! Spoiled is an understatement, I know.

A Magical Day: VC Polo Classic

When I think of my ideal day there are a few things I always picture: beautiful weather is a must, a breathtaking location, amazingly fashionable people around and of course good friends to share all of this with. Veuve Clicquot made all my dreams come true last Saturday at their annual VC Polo Classic Event. It was an afternoon filled with sun, champagne and laughter that I spent, surrounded by people with an incredible sense of style, at the Liberty State Park which has stunning views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty. The polo match was the first one I ever attended and I have to admit it was pretty exciting and very entertaining. As if all of that wasn't enough, to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of this event, Alicia Keys took the stage and sang a few songs for us. Listening to everyone sing along to Empire State of Mind while overlooking the beautiful skyline and Statue of Liberty was one of the best experiences ever!

Handbag collection

Today is #NationalHandbagDay and what better to to celebrate this fun day than to bring all of my babies out for a family picture?? :D I have loved and cherished every single one of them from the moment I bought them and have used all of them so much! I am ashamed to admit that there are still a ton of bags on my wishlist but I am so very grateful for everything I have! Not that I haven't worked my ass off to be able to afford every single one, because I really have.

So to us, handbags lovers out there, may our collections keep on growing! :D

(Of course I realized only after taking these that my Drew and a Chanel bag were missing but all of the others are here i promise!)

NYFW Day 1

Every year attending fashion week becomes more and more fun! I am so thankful to be able to travel to this amazing city and attend all these fun shows and events and being able to share all of this with you guys makes it all a hundred times better!
My first day in New York turned out to be pretty full: a nail and makeup appointment in the morning at Caravan styling studio to get me ready for the Control Sector fashion show in the afternoon and the Lulu's Style Studio Party at night. I also had the time to have a yummy lunch with my babe Yana and of course take tons of #foodporn pics.

For my first NYFW day I chose a simple yet elegant and trendy look: all black and white with lace and Chanel.

Romper: Shein - Shoes: Valentino - Bracelet: Hermès Collier de chien

Thank you Caravan for making me pretty and spoiling me with a bag full of fun goodies!

Lunch at The Growler was INSANE!

After lunch I went straight to the Style Fashion Week fashion show where I attended the Control Sector fashion show (as I'm sure you've seen on my InstaStory!).

Lastly, I ended this first day on the best way possible: attending the Lulu's Style Studio influencers party. Between good music, fashion sketches, fun goodies, an open bar and cool giveaways I had such an amazing night and met some fantastic fellow bloggers!

Refinery 29 x PrimarkUSA

Without a doubt one of the most exciting things ever for all the fashionistas out there is when a store you absolutely ADORE opens in your city. No more long drives or having to wait for international trips to go shop at your favorite stores!!
I have been waiting for the day that Primark would brave the ocean and open its first flagship here in the US for a very long time! And you cannot even start to comprehend my excitement when I received an invitation to go to a preview party organized by Refinery 29 to celebrate the opening of Primark's first US store this fall.

For those of you who don't know the brand Primark is a UK-based brand with super low prices for high-street fashion. The brand has already conquered the hearts of shoppers all over the UK, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and France and is now ready to do the same in the States.
The first US store will open on September 10 in Boston, MA!

I shopped at their London stores multiple times during my travels there and I was always amazed by the huge choice of affordable yet uber stylish pieces!

At the party I got to see a preview of Primark's fall/winter collection. All the pieces were absolutely gorgeous and very feminine. The eclectic mix of textures and fabrics was simply mesmerizing. Lace, fur, wool, suede, sheepskin, velvet and sequins were only some of the elements that caught my eye from the collection.

Some of the pieces from the collection were hanging on the wall as real-life outfit inspiration boards. How cool is that??

Perfectly in line with the current trends, the 70's vibe was present in many pieces of the collection.

Chunky knits and geometric patterns make your basic school uniform so much cooler.

Black, tan and burgundy are the quintessential winter neutrals. Fringes, rhinestones and oversized zippers are the perfect details to add interest to cold weather's footwear.

The jewelry selection stole my heart from the start. All those dainty pieces, from earrings to necklaces bracelets and rings made me want to layer and mix and match!

Primark also has a Home collection with adorable throw pillows and super soft throw blankets.

The kids collection was the most adorable thing I've ever seen. A must for all the mini fashionistas in your life!

I am a huge fan of white lace in the summer and I absolutely loved how Primark took this decadent and romantic trend and incorporated it in its AW15 collection.

Some of my personal favorites from the selection.

How fun is this hat?? The best part? It retails for only $10!

A party without tasty food and good drinks is just a gathering!

The Refinery 29 offices were out of this world! Can I work here please?

Last but not least, my complete outfit for the event:
Dress: Shein - Shoes: Dolce & Gabbana - Clutch: Céline - Sunglasses: Prada via Ditto - Bangle: Vince Camuto

Lunch with Rachel Zoe

It's not very often that you can attend a lunch with a celebrity and it's even less common to be able to get life and career advice directly from them. Leave it to Business Chicks to make your dreams come true! This very pink and girly Australian company strives to bring like-minded souls together – to give them a chance to swap ideas, share stories, and spark inspiration.

I feel so proud and lucky to have had the chance to participate in their American launch and have met their team as well as their outstanding members!

Without further due let me take you with me inside this fabulous and inspiring event!

My look for the event:
Shift dress with embellished shoulders: Forever21 - Heels: Stuart Weitzman - Bag: Céline - Bracelet: J. Crew

Waiting for the dining room doors to open the guests start socializing over espresso martinis and networking.

The location was breathtaking and every detail at the Grand Hyatt Grand Central in NYC is simply stunning!

Each guest received a bouquet with a little note that read "Because we think you are a blooming beauty! - Business Chicks"

Rachel Zoe isn't just a celebrity stylist. She is the author of two books, a jewelry and clothing designer, reality show star and an entrepreneur in her own right.

The dining room doors finally open and we discovered a ballroom filled with beautifully set tables.

The gorgeous set up for the interview.

So many goodies on the table!

And in the goodies bag of course!

Who run the world? GIRLS!

Lunch is served! And it was delicious!

And after the dessert, the best part of the event, Rachel Zoe's arrival!

She was wearing a tuxedo and a blouse from her own line.

During the interview she shared with us her fears of taking the leap at 23 and going freelance, some of her hilarious styling mistake that she thought were going to cost her her career but just made her stronger and her endless motivation to achieve everything she wants in life.
